Your presentation, and continuing comments on the whole idea of panopticon in our society is very thoughtful. The idea of the panopticon definitely relates to the autobiographical and shows how our selves are shaped by pressures around us. Both literal, and metaphorical panopticon's are apart of everyone's everyday lives, and I believe that the ideals of the panopticon in some sense dictate the autobiographical impulse. Can we really be 100% true to ourselves in our self-representation through autobiography, or does the pressures of the panopticon hinder us from accurately representing ourselves?
